CGW 10X barrel bushings for the .550″ diameter heavy barrel SP-01’s – Shadow, SP-01 manual safety and SP-01 Tactical in 9mm and .40 S&W.  Also fits 75B in .40.  Made from 4140 carbon steel and heat treated to RC 57-59, vastly superior to the loose fitting, soft, non-heat treated OEM bushing.  Only works with the standard 4.7″ barrel, will not work with any extended or threaded barrels.  Reduces barrel muzzle play to -0- at lock-up.  This is a direct replacement for the OEM bushing.  Many shooters have verified a significant improvement in accuracy.

Note:  Very minor fitting may be required, can be installed in minutes with common tools.  Will not work with any threaded or extended barrel.

USPSA PRODUCTION APPROVED

Fits:  SP-01 manual safety, SP-01 Decocker/Tactical, all SP-01 Shadows, 75B in .40 S&W.

To install, remove your front sight retaining pin, it is not necessary to remove the sight itself.  Use an 11mm 1/4″ drive socket inserted as you would insert the barrel.  Use 2 – 6″ 1/4″ drive extensions inserted into the socket and hammer on the extension.

Be sure to align the bushings retaining pin groove with the slides retaining pin groove when installing.  We suggest using a soft block of wood to drive the bushing until it seats on the bushing flange, or use a plastic faced hammer.  NOTE:  the bushing will only fit the SP-01 9mm heavy barrel models & 75B in .40 with a barrel OD of .550″.

An alternate method is to freeze the bushing, which will shrink the OD, then install in the slide.  Be sure and check the bushings ID fit on your barrel before installation to ensure a proper fit.  Any questions contact CGW for tech support.

CGW - 10x Bushing

Review by Gary M. on 8/4/2020

I have a Shadow 2 that was a little below expectations for competition accuracy so I decided to replace the factory bushing with CGW 10x. The results were impressive with a little less than an inch improvement with competition loads at 25 yards. The instructions and recommendations to put the slide and bushing in the freezer made the effort fairly easy.
