Kimber's 2K11 brought serious double-stack capacity to the 1911 platform, and it's built the way competition shooters expect: a stainless steel slide machined in Troy, Alabama, mated to a DLC-coated stainless subframe and a 7075-aluminum or carbon fiber-infused grip module. Every 2K11 is hand-assembled to tight tolerances, with Kimber's GT signature trigger, an external extractor, and a tool-less guide rod that make it as easy to maintain as it is to shoot fast.

The platform is available in 9mm (17-round magazines), with select models shipping optics-ready and fitted with a Stan Chen Customs magwell standard. That magwell geometry is a big part of why the 2K11 runs the way it does on the clock — flared and funneled for reloads that don't cost you a shot at the buzzer.
