Why it matters
In action shooting, reliability is everything — and time is everything. One malfunction can be the difference between winning and losing. Clean mags run reliably; dirty mags don't. We know cleaning mags between stages is a hassle, so we've made it as fast and easy as possible.
Tool-less cleaning in 5 steps:
- Pick up the mag you dropped in the dirt
- Slide the lock gate forward
- Remove the spring and follower
- Run a mag brush through once or twice
- Spray in a little Mag Slick, pop it back together, load it up — ready to go in seconds
If a mag hits the ground, it should be cleaned. Dirt and grit act like wheel chocks, slowing rounds from popping up in time to feed into the chamber. Don't make it harder than it needs to be.
These Tool-less Basepads are CNC-machined from billet aluminum to exact tolerances for a build that lasts. Drop 'em, and they'll hold up through your next reload — just don't go out of your way to test that with a kick.
