Bar-Sto Precision Barrels
Bar-Sto Precision Machine has been building match grade auto-pistol barrels since 1971, and for decades shooters and gunsmiths have treated the name as a benchmark for accuracy. If you’re building a competition gun or chasing tighter groups from your current pistol, a Bar-Sto barrel is one of the most meaningful upgrades you can make.
Built In-House From Solid Bar Stock
Every Bar-Sto pistol barrel starts as solid 416 stainless steel bar stock, heat treated to 39–43 Rockwell C with 180,000 PSI tensile strength. Machining, boring, and rifling are all done in Bar-Sto’s own shop rather than outsourced, which gives them full control over chamber dimensions and bore consistency. Barrels are cut with a 1-in-16" twist rate.
Proven at the Highest Level
Bar-Sto barrels have been used by the U.S. Marine Corps Marksmanship Unit since 1977. That long history in military marksmanship and competition is a big part of why so many builders specify Bar-Sto for their match guns.
Choosing the Right Bar-Sto Barrel
Semi-Fit Barrels: Designed to need little to no fitting in most guns. Expect that some minor fitting may still be required, so having a gunsmith check the install is a good idea.
