CARVER Standard M&P "Tactical" Magwell

Newly Designed" M&P Aluminum Tactical Magwell, legal for ESP (IDPA) Legal Class by CARVER Custom LLC..  This new M&P magwell was designed for tactical applications including the "ESP" class of IDPA where a stock magazine or one with a limited base pad extension is allowed. The new magwell was designed for the M&P Full Size, PRO and CORE models.  This version will "not" fit the 2.0 M&P.

The aluminum magwell is CNC machined and anodized. It is very easy to install and requires no modification to your gun if your gun is made to spec. Some can be slightly out of spec and need minor fitting.  Included with the magwell are installation instructions and all necessary hardware. Though "not" required, the CARVER Standard Magwell will accomodate either the use of any Magazine Extension (140MM or 170MM) or extended base pad such as the Springer Precision base pad or works with stock magazines and stock base pads.

This magwell is a funnel that's 1.5" wide and is 2.35" long, increasing the magwell area for fast and easy reloads on the run or while standing by 159% when compared to the stock magwell ESP Legaling on the M&P.  Approximate weight is 1.3 oz.  (Please note, a Stainless Model will be available soon)

This magwell and its installation stud will only work on M&P Models manufactured prior to the 2.0.

The "new" CARVER M&P Standard Magwell does "not" require the use of any Magazine Extension or extended base pad.  Though this magwell will accomodate mag extensions it's designed to work with Stock base pads.

The new design allows your choice of backstraps to be used.

No modifications needed to install on your M&P 98% of the time.  Since the receivers are polymer and molded, sometimes the length of the receiver is slightly out of spec.  When this occurs, the magwell will not fit properly against the receiver and stock magazines may not seat properly.  When the receiver is out of spec and too long, it will not allow the magwell to seat high enough to allow the magazine to lock into place.  To resolve this issue, you may need to do the following:

1. Remove the magwell
2. Use a medium to fine grit sandpaper, laying it on a flat surface
3. Holding the sandpaper with your left hand and the receiver with your right hand (visa versa if left handed), slide the receiver, holding it square on the sandpaper, about 3-4 times.  If you are not removing any polymer, you may need to add more pressure when sliding
4. Reinstall the magwell and test your magazine seating
5. If the magazine doesn't seat but almost seats, you may need to repeat #3

The "new" design of the M&P Standard Magwell will accept the following mag extensions or with use of the stock magazine and base pad:

• TTI

HyVe mag extensions are not compatible with this magwell.
