Convert your Glock 17 to an extended-barrel racegun with our Glock sight block.

Designed to run with the Lone Wolf threaded barrel for the Glock 34, the sight block instantly gives your standard Glock 17 the sight radius of the famed 6" Glock 17L. That's 3/4 of an inch MORE than the popular Glock 34.

(NOTE: KKM Glock barrels also work well, but needs 1/2 X 28 threads.)

This is NOT a recoil compensator. Compared to a Glock 17, the total sight block slide assembly is slightly heavier. That tends to calm the gun down a bit, but may require some fiddling with recoil springs to get positive function with light loads.

Because it's not a compensator, shooters can use a sight block in most types of action competition (except IDPA). It's specifically allowed in USPSA "Limited" division, and in most 3-Gun events.

Easy-To-Track Front Sight:
With a Sight Block, your front sight mounts directly to the barrel instead of the slide, so it moves only a fraction of an inch in recoil. That makes the front sight easier to track, and since the front sight isn't slapping all the way back and forth, your sights experience less pounding, leading to longer fiber-optic life.

You'll want some thread-locking compound for the front sight screw (don't use crimped sights, they will damage the aluminum sight block). You'll want a little more for the set screw, and a little for the barrel threads themselves. We suggest the "adjustable" sort, since you will want to take the sight block off eventually to service the front sight. Short of that, we suggest leaving the sight block on semi-permanently.

How Do I Clean It?
Sliding the barrel forward exposes the chamber area for easy back-to-front cleaning.

Does It Work With A Gen 4?
YES. The new version works with Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 4-retrofitted-to-Gen 3 recoil systems. The latter is probably the best way to go, since it allows changing the recoil spring weight easily. (Not possible on the Gen 4's telescopic system.) Last I looked Carver Custom and Jaeger Products both offer a bushing to convert Gen 4's to the Gen 3 style.

MADE FOR THE GLOCK 34 threaded barrel in a Glock 17 slide. Threads were not cut properly and required to be chased with a tap.

Response From Chuck- The threads on the sight block are correct in that they are 1/2-28 , If you tried it on a different thread then I can see why you had to re-cut them. If it was cut wrong, other than 1/2-28 then Robin would have gladly replaced it.
