Which CED Timer is Right for You?

CED has been the predominant Shooting Timer manufacturersince 1990. Starting with the CED4000, then theCED6000, which led the industry for a decade, followed bythe CED8000, the CED7000, CED7000T, CED7000A, andmost recently, the CED7000PRO. It is easy to see CEDtimers being used throughout the industry today! But whichone is right for you? Here is a brief overview, comparison,and highlight of the timers, their features and differences, inhopes that it will aide you, our loyal consumer in selectingthe timer that is right for your needs and use.

CED8000 –

Launched in 2002, this timer has theLARGEST display of any shot timer inthe market today. It uses a 9V battery,easily installed and replaced. It hasa low frequency buzzer for hard ofhearing. It has two input jacks, idealfor use with airsoft plates, or manvs. man shoot-offs using closedcircuit switches. The timer willdisplay the winner and loser andthe times. It has an earphonejack allowing the user to disconnect thebuzzer and only hear the beep himself during use. Perfectfor on the line use without disturbing others. The timer includespre-programmed Bianchi and PPC events, allowingthe user to run the courses of fire without any pre-setting ofPAR times. It has a AUX output jack for relays or externalhorns. Like all current CED timers, it allows up to ELEVENPAR time settings and will run them automatically ormanually. Like all CED Timers today, it includes a TENstringmemory recall. All CED timers have digital sensitivityadjustment and filter settings to provide a fine tuned abilityto eliminate echo and false readings. Measures 95 x 89 x33mm (3.75” x 3.5” x 1.35” ) when closed. Must be openedfor use.

CED7000 –

The smallest, lightest, and most populartimer in the world today. Launchedin 2006, the CED7000 timer was thefirst to introduce a rechargeablemobile battery, customized smallilluminated LCD display, showingtimes, splits, mode, date / time, andreview functions. Produces a highfrequency loud beep, includes all of thefunctions of the CED8000, EXCEPT the pre-programmedevents, but adds features like Silent operation for visualstarts, Spy mode, stop watch mode, adjustable soft beep fordry fire use, Auto-Start mode, Countdown mode, and more!Comes with neck lanyard, wrist lanyard, and dual voltagecharger. A huge range of accessories are available for thismost popular timer. Weighing in at only 2.9 ounces andmeasuring 100 x 47 x 17mm (3.94” x 1.85” x 0.7”)

CED7000T Tactical Timer –

EXACTLY the SAME features as theCED7000, but cosmetically, all buttons andtrims are in black insteadof chrome.

CE-D7000A Airsoft Timer –

The Airsoft timer features all of theSAME features as the other CED7000Timers, BUT has a microphone set toa higher range to allow airsoft and dryfire to be recorded on its high digitallyset sensitivity levels (7 & 8). The timermay need to be placed within one footor even as close as a few inches fromthe gun in order to pick up hammer drop or airsoftshots, so we recommend use with the CED7000 Wristbandplacing the timer on the weak hand facing the strong handwhen in use.The CED7000A Airsoft Timer is NOT recommended foruse with live fire, but if the user chooses to do so, we cautionto set the sensitivity level lower to (2) for outdoor useand never use it indoors!

CED7000PRO Timer –

The latest in the CED7000 rangeof timers, this new timer incorporates afull color matrix LCD display, aluminumfront case, ROF (Rate of Fire) mode,shot counter, multilingual, offering fivedifferent languages, and much more!The CED7000PRO is a fully functionalmatch computer, allowing the user toscore and view results directly on theshooting line and for up to 1,500 competitors.Create your own match onthe timer itself or online on the dedicatedwebsite. Upload and downloadresults between timer and PC. Has an optional RF printeravailable. Also includes a Steel Challenge mode as well.Includes a rechargeable mobile phone battery, universalcharger, AUX output jack and one input jack. A full line ofaccessories are available.
