This custom shock buffer specifically made for the Tanfoglio / EAA Witness pistols is the best way to protect your frame & slide from heavy recoil wear.
We recommend tho use our shock buffer with our conefit guide rod on all Tanfoglio / EAA Witness pistols. In particular, anyone who shoots 10mm and heavy 45ACP should use a shock buffer to save the gun. Let the soft brass absorb the slide's impact instead of the frame.
This is a consumable (!!) and should be replaced when the shock buffer is showing significant wear and tear.
We only recommend using the shock buffers as a way to reduce impact stress on the practice range. For carry and competition, any consumable such as a shock buffer may be unreliable. Due to the size of the shock buffer and the reduced rear travel (0.080") caused by the shock buffer, the slide may or may not lock back on empty. There are modifications that can be done to the slide stop etc to ensure rear locking, but as mentioned, we recommend shock buffers as a training tool only.You can be the first one to write a review.
