Very impressed with this mag pouches, able to adjust them easily, solid well made and work with a competition belt very well. Not as easy to use with a normal leather belt as you cant really slid them on. Not really a big issue since they were designed for competition belts.

The double alpha Race Master is the best mag pouch on the market, period. Coming from a fixed position mag pouch, the amount of adjustability the Race Master offers makes a night and day different not only in reload ease, but also in belt placement. Being able to rotate the pouch a full 360deg., plus adjust caint closer to or away from you body, plus being able to switch the mounting plate to the skinny side (90deg point) on the pouch means there is literally no where on your belt that you cant put these. My one and only gripe would be I wish they had an additional thickness insert for the width of the magazine. The one that comes mounted leaves a good 1/4" of play between my mag and the wall (Sig P320 X5 Mags). The thicker insert is way too thick and would fit the first 1/4 of the mag before getting stuck due to the increasing thickness of the mag. It is worth noting that despire the bit of play, meg retension is EXCELLENT. I could run with the mag pointed straight down and it wouldnt fall out, yet its still easy enough to grab during reloads. These are pricey, but are worth every penny.

I was fed up with plastic pouches being fickle in hot, humid weather. So tried these metal pouches. WOW! I used the racemaster yesterday in 98 degree weather and it was fantastic! I've never seen a pouch hold a magazine so firmly, but yet can be removed at warp speed with almost no resistance. This capability is attributed to the very clever design of a pressure clip at the back of the pouch that holds firmly, but then releases the pressure when you grab the magazine. This pouch is also adjustable in virtually every direction. DOWNSIDE: Depending on the type of magazine you have, you are required to "file down" the plastic spacer that connects to the load spring at the back... this can be time consuming... it took me about 2 hours to correctly reshape 4 spacers (one for each pouch) and then confirm that the magazine fit just right in the pouch.
